Definitely was some bad defense today. Conner did play error free, but I was surprised at some of the plays that holly cross did not make. SS had three errors in one inning and she is rock solid. It can happen to the best.

Connor did play error free and not to take away from them but Simms was real good so HC did not put a lot of pressure on them.

Conner really seems to have hit their stride recently.

I would advice the teams that play tomorrow to practice on concrete. Ball is bouncing like crazy today, not that its an excuse for some of the errors but it wasn't easy out there either.

Also great job by NCC, I got to see them play more than most other teams and really enjoyed it, minus the Lawnboy part!!

My final report for the Breds this season.

 

The Breds inability to get "key" hits with runners on dome them in this one. Lone senior Christina Enzweiler comes up with a game tying single to left in the top of the 7th and the Breds plate two more in the 8th on a two-run triple to center by Loren Zimmerman. However Dixie responds with a 3-spot in the bottom of the 8th on one-out bases loaded single by Megan Estenfelder that scores two and with 2 outs Mary Beth Odom sends a "rocket" to left for the game winner. Feel bad for the Breds Christina Enzweiler after the game because on Odom's game winner, as Enzweiler takes her 1st step to go back on the ball she looses her footing and falls to the ground. IMHO I don't think she gets to the ball, however the young lady felt bad. Now on to the details.
