Basketball season for 2013/2014 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Calvary Christian? Remember, please be constructive.

Not even worth talking about. Expect them to beat the Trains in the district tournament though.

Are you kidding me, every team and players is worth talking about. Doesn't matter what jersey they wear or team they play for. Show some respect.

Without question, Goldie! :thumb:

These kids work as hard as any other... They are earning, or should be earning, everyone's respect. Hope these kids do well and surprise a lot of people!

Calvary lost alot of guys they only had about 10 varsity players last year and their JV consisted of a couple freshmen and middle school kids. Really hope this program will be able to grow and compete

Calvary does lose a lot from last years team. They lose 4 or 5 of their top scorers. That makes it very challenging for a small school like Calvary. They are a fun team to watch, they are always gracious hosts and come ready to play. Just typically undermanned and often very young. Keep in mind this little school put together a 12-14 season only 2 years ago and only lost to a very good Scott team in the district semis by 10. They had lost to the same team by almost 60 in the beginiing of the year.

They do have a few underclassman returning. Leichter, Varnado, Worstell (5.6 PPG) , Valandra (3.4 PPG).

Also they had a boy last year that only played 3 games, Carson Kaufman, but he averaged 12 points per game. Any one know if he returns?

Good luck to the Cougars in 2013-14.
