May 20, 201313 yr I am not the one with the daily complaint about the line up and never a suggestion for what the lineup should be. It is a pet peeve of mine for complainers in general, not just here. My rule - if you have a complaint, you have to offer a better solution/option. You don't get the easy way out of complaining, acting like you are smarter or the other guy is stupid and then never having to come up with your own plan. But, to answer your question, I would move the catchers to the 2 hole. They both bat right handed so you keep the left, right, left thing going; they both have OBP as good as any of the other options; Hanigan is a good contact guy and can move runners and Mesoraco would benefit from batting in front of Votto. Move the SS to 8 in the order and they will be easier to bunt over if they get on base. And everyone has stated time and time again their own individual ideas, all of which would be better than what the idiot in the dugout goes with on a daily basis.
May 20, 201313 yr John Fay @johnfayman 2m Robinson was in the lineup. Baker thought LH Niese was pitching today, not tomorrow. Choo will be out tomorrow. #reds Kind of weird Dusty wouldn't know who the opposing pitcher is? And he's the guy the Reds rely on to make the in game decisions it takes to win a championship.

May 20, 201313 yr What idea do you like? The anyone other than the starting SS idea. I'm serious when I say that. Literally anyone else that starts (outside of Choo who leads off) would be 1000% better an option than Cozart or Izturis.

May 20, 201313 yr :lol2: And the funniest part of that comment ... it is true. Which is why it's so irrating seeing him keep trotting Cozart out there. Won't put Bruce there, apparently there's some secret rule in baseball that doesn't allow for 3 L's to bat back-to-back-to-back. Won't put Phillips there because he refuses to bat Vott & Bruce back to back.
May 21, 201313 yr Cueto sucks. Looks like he could have used a start at AA and AAA before he started tonight.
May 21, 201313 yr Author Looks like he could have used a start at AA and AAA before he started tonight. He won't make it through the fourth inning. He will be lucky to make it out of the third inning.
May 21, 201313 yr He won't make it through the fourth inning. He will be lucky to make it out of the third inning. Had the kid up here things were going good, no need to rush Cueto back, but that's what they did, typical reds. Bet Cueto goes 3 starts and back on DL.
May 21, 201313 yr Would love to hear someone defend Dusty's decision not to bunt there with Izturis. Cost the Reds at least one run.
