Heard that 2 Highlands boys were individual state winners tonight. Ryan Greene in the 400 and John Michael Griffith in the 3200. It has been tweeted that they are the first two individual winners in school history on the boys side. Not sure if that is true or not, but what a great accomplishment for these two kids.

New drummer in the band here so I may hit some wrong pads while I get to know your kit but if I'm not mistaken Brian Mirrielees won state in the 1,600 and Trey Jurgens won discus in '08 for Highlands. I think Tom Noe still has the 2A record in the high jump from the late 80's so he probably won state too and I'm thinking Doug Ossege as well. He held the state record in the 800 for years. I just happen to know a lot of Highlands stuff and I'm pretty sure this is correct. Congratulations to RG and JMG for doing the Bluebirds a solid.
