Pitchers duel. #16 threw a two hitter and dave allen broke it open in the bottom of the 6th. Bankemper threw 6 shutout innings only giving up three hits and Rundle comes in to close the 7th with three straight K's. great game.

No doubt. My mother thought she heard from a Scott parent that he's an 8th grader? is that True? He was solid all night long. Since it's JV, I kept waiting for a bad throw, but it never happened. The pitcher was also awesome.

 

I can tell you that it was one terrific game. It's a shame, but someone has to lose.

Yes it is a shame both teams faught hard. And for being an 8th grader, he showed some real skill at short.

What a game on a Friday night. Jake Ohmer was unreal in the field. Its going to be interesting to see if he ends up playing college basketball or baseball in the future. He is very talented. Walker Terry for Scott and the Pitcher from Beechwood were terrific. Beechwood got their first hit in the 5th inning and with two outs they get a two run double on the hardest hit ball of the night. One error in the entire game. This was a flawless game. Scott in the Top of the 5th had two on and left them there. In the 6th they had a runner on third with one out they didnt get the run in. Awesome game. Congrats Beechwood they are a very solid team.

Congrats to BW on the win and to Scott for a great year. I wish I could have made it out for this one. Jake Ohmer is an exceptional athlete and has an incredible future ahead of him. On top of that he's an even better kid. A true competitor.

Scott played just about a perfect game. Besides Ohmer, there were several other real nice plays...one diving play by the second basemen in the first and the 3rd baseman made a really nice place in the 2nd or 3rd. I thought Scott could have maybe attempted a squeeze when Sowder was on third with one out....although it was the 3 hitter up who had the only hard hit ball by Scott all day. Walker Terry made one mistake all night, a fat, first pitch fastball to the 4 hitter with first open that resulted in the only solid Beechwood hit all night scoring the two runs. Scott played really well the last few weeks of the season, and pitching which was going to be problem going into the season, turned out ok.
