Holy Cross is 5.04 per game, didn't mean to leave them out. They were on my list but I skipped them when typing it up. Maybe that's the whole voodoo, hidden key to who will win it all.

 

I should redo this after districts. I sure don't know who will be in the region much less win it.

Newport could make it but I would still say its a long shot.

7-2 St Henry...note not that HC would have or could have won this game but they clearly didn't play to win.

Could HC pull off an upset.. sure but they would be underdogs in every game...be real hard to pull off 3. But would be nice to get one.

Hmmm, and didn't it come down to an error by Newport? Don't write off the Wildcats because they have the hunger to win. Some teams have the entitlement air about them, others have talent that doesn't have the hunger......let's see how this plays out. I am hoping to see them play in the districts if it doesn't interfere with Track.

Newport got beat 5-1 last night by Lloyd, I wouldnt say anyone is writing off the hungrey Wildcats but I don't think anyone is ready to jump on board yet. You want to make a statment beat HHS tonight, they should be hungry also after getting run ruled last night.

 

On a side note hats off to Newport no matter how they end up they are much improved over years past, that may be mainly to do with one player but either way they are a much better team than just a couple years ago.

No disrespect to Newport, but they play NOBODY. It is very hard to compete when you are throwing no hitters and shutouts and putting up a ton of runs to teams that can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Then when you play an average team, your shellshocked. If Newport wants to compete down the road, they have to man up their schedule.:confused:

Thats a negative, Newport head caoch said there field had water on it as well. I even tried NKU & ST. Phillip no luck anywhere.
