Boone County 2013/2014

Featured Replies

Basketball season for 2013/2014 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Boone County? Remember, please be constructive.

I really like Boone's team next year and think they could end up being a sleeper top 5 team.

Everything starts with Stanley but they should be deep with Floyd, Hixenbaugh, Mayberry, McDonald, Ordu, and Stockwell.

Unless the 3 players the new football coach brought in with him are bballers I don't see much changing at Boone Co.

Is Boone's coaching staff still intact?

Stanley will be a top player in the region. Hixenbaugh is solid, but I see CCH, NCC, Holmes, And Dixie being better teams. Boone will have some big bodies to bang in Stockwell and McDonald. Need to use them to their advantage.

Agreed... When I said I like them as a sleeper top 5 team, I was talking about the 5 spot. I think either them or Conner could round out the top 5.

I agree. Boone could be a "dark horse" in the 9th region. They have some good pieces. Big fan of Stanley's game, and could only imagine how good he could be if he played summer ball. I think Holmes will be the favorite, although, NCC will be very tough again (especially with the Moeves boys)... They can play now.

Is, or can, Stanley be a top 5 player in the region? I think that's the question... If so, Boone can be sneaky good. If not, I see a season a lot like last year.

Stanley doesn't play AAU?

I'm a fan of Stanley but I think next year will be a tough nut to crack as far as "top 5." Maybe top 10.

IMO he needs to develop a game off the bounce as well as work on the ability to hit the outside shot more consistently.

Tools are there.

Stanley doesn't play AAU?

I am told he does not. Primarily because of baseball.

I'd put Stanley in the top 15 for sure, borderline top 10. Clearly not the top 5.
