He didn't coach at GRC and his family doesn't own wkyt. His father was the general manager there for a few years. Good kid. It's in his genes.

My info said he assisted at GRC and his family owned WKYT which I thought was false because of the CBS stuff, but thought maybe they did because it's its own market.

Matthew Martin has added another branch to the family’s coaching tree.

Martin, son of former Morehead State men’s basketball coach Wayne Martin and a former standout and 2005 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, was named boys basketball coach at Bourbon County High School last week. Martin, 26, has spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach on Brian Lane’s staff at Transylvania University.

“It’s exciting,” Martin said Tuesday. “I loved being at Transy, but I’m ready for this new opportunity. It’s good to be back in the 40th District and the 10th Region that I grew up in. It’s going to be extremely hard coming back to Clark County to coach against coach (Scott) Humphrey and coach (Larry) Allison, but that’s part of the deal.”
