April 30, 201313 yr To my mind, this has been the most fun series of the first round thus far. Since losing All-Star David Lee to injury and Game 1 of the series along with him, the Warriors have rattled off three in a row to take control of the series 3-1. Steph Curry has been absolutely incredible, making shots all over the place. Granted, Denver hasn't proven especially adept at making sure he has a body on him at all times, which any decent team should be able to do. Game 5 is tonight at 8 in Denver. Anyone else been following this series?
April 30, 201313 yr I have yet to watch any of the playoffs so far. Partly due to Kobe depression/shock/anger/sadness/sickness......I wish I had been watching this series. I'd like to see Golden State do well in the postseason. I've always liked Mark Jackson for some reason. Hand down, man down.

Steph Curry's been dropping shots from all over the floor. I guess it's not hugely important since I don't see them being able to put up points like this against San Antonio. It's going to be a victory with almost sure-fire defeat to follow.

Yeah, I figured he was doing something good when my 13 year old sent me a text Sunday night/Monday morning at 12:46 am saying that Steph Curry is his favorite player now. I started to text him back but then we'd have been up until 1:15 talking basketball so I just laughed and waited until I woke up for work to reply. It's bad enough he was up at that time watching basketball but it made me kind of proud at the same time.
April 30, 201313 yr If GS shoots like they have for the last 2 games for the rest of the playoffs they will be hard to beat!
April 30, 201313 yr I watched Golden State in person a few months ago. They just have guys that hit open and defended shots. I'd almost like to see them play Harison Barnes as a small 4 against San Antonio and push the tempo. Barnes has looked like a different player with Lee out. Very fun team to watch.
April 30, 201313 yr This was the first round series I was looking forward to the most. Hasn't disappointed.
May 1, 201313 yr Author Game five... ugh. Just when Golden State had scratched and clawed their way back into this thing behind strong play from nearly everyone, Festus Ezeli happened... Warriors were down 22 when the shots finally started falling. Warriors pulled it to three points with less than two to play then Ezeli had two consecutive bone-headed plays (one on each end) that resulted in an easy bucket for Denver and a Warriors turnover. That said, the Warriors aren't winning any games this postseason with Steph Curry scoring only 15 and going a lousy 1-7 from behind the arc. That happens again, they'll lose again.
May 1, 201313 yr Author IF Denver wins game #6, I highly doubt they lose game #7 @ Denver. I agree with you on this. Golden State can't let this go seven. I was already looking forward to skipping out on work for the Oaks on Friday. I now have the added bonus of having no reason not to stay up late Thursday and watch Game 6.
May 1, 201313 yr Series is getting chippy. Curry is taking a lot of extra "blows" according to Preacher Mark Jackson.
May 3, 201313 yr Game 6 tonight. Should be interesting to see how calls are made in regards to Curry and if they aren't called how quickly will Jackson get a technical
