Didn't the FBI learn aout the NY plan from the guy they car jacked and not the suspect?

A few things here that IMO are more serious. Russia just about begged the US, the FBI, to do something about him, they didn't see an issue with him, and his name went off the list. Then the Russians, ticked at the FBI, called the CIA, they wanted to add him as well. If you think our intel community is bad, you haven't seen anything until you see Russia's, which is why they were begging us for help. But throughout all of this the local Homeland Security in Boston was never notified. If there were people in lets say Cincinnati or Louisville, wouldn't you think that the Feds would notify the local Homeland Security about the suspects? That is what is supposed to happen.

I can only come up with the reason of his religion being the basis. Many Christian Americans have committed what I feel are terroristic attacks and killed more, and no one even mentions denying them their rights.

After much soul searching I have to say that I am more in agreement with the leftys here then I am those who lean right. His status of place of birth is irrelevant, he is a naturalized US citizen. Yes I am loathe to say he should have an attorney. It sickens me that some sleazy (and likely high priced working pro bono) attorney will try to make a name for him or herself and that there will likely be an attempt by the aforementioned sleazy attorney to garner sympathy for him in the media. All that said we live in America and with every little thing we change the evil radical Islamists get a victory and I don't want to give them anything. While I do agree that the fact he appears to be a radicalized Muslin extremist is being down played in the media and that had the bombers been white militia types with connections to the Tea Party would have been played up for all it's worth in the media the fact still is that he is an American.

With all that said in All Tell's perfect world every time he is spoken of in the media his name would ALWAYS be preceded with "alleged Radical Muslim" or equivalent because as I recall there was always some descriptor like that attached to McVeigh regarding his leanings.

This is tested and settled law in various cases at the SCOTUS level. Various cases have indicated naturalized citizens are not 2nd class citizens.

 

It does point out that immigration and naturalization candidate should be much better vetted. And granting of citizenship should be exercised carefully.
