Who pitched for St. Henry?

Kleisenger pitched for St.Henry. (His 2nd varsity start) Gave up 1 run on a wild pitch in 3 innings. Conradi pitched the next 3. Youngwirth pitched the 7th.

Bartels was dominant. Probably had 12 strikeouts and was in complete control.

Good luck at sectionals/state.

4 times, but not since 1954. They lost in the finals in 1976. Last year they made the quarterfinals.

1956 was last time Newcath won state. Won 20 regional titles and is second all time in the state of kentucky in baseball state championships. You can go to Khsaa website to look at it.

Thats a lot of regional titles. No matter how much i don't like it.

Beechwood was runner up in 2006, losing to Lexington Catholic 6-4.

 

Bellevue was runner up in 1947 to Manual, losing 6-0.

 

In the last 50 years, only 3 N. Ky. teams have played for the title. Beechwood (see above), New Cath losing in 1976 and Covington Catholic, your 2002 champion - the only title for a N. Ky team in the past 50 years.

Probably a deep pitching staff is the key to a long run.
