Reddit has had an internal war for about 10 hours about Tripathi, and whether it was ethical to be throwing around that he was a possible suspect. The mods and more than a few others were worried about the harassment that the family was receiving.

Some just said that suspect 1 is dead and the other got away. How does someone get away unseen from a gunfight?

 

Easy to throw police off when you have bombs. Also apparently the police were concerned they had explosives that could be set off by cell phones.

The scanner has basically told us that the events tonight are by the bombers. A pressure cooker has been found in the streets. 5 minutes ago the scanner said they were on foot pursuit of the other suspect so it's only a matter of time before he is caught or killed.

Agreed, if they are in pursuit then he will be caught, killed or kill himself

There was a mention on police scanners recently that the suspects in custody are Mike Mulugeta and Sunil Tripathi. The latter is a missing Brown student who was identified on Reddit as a possible suspect earlier this week.

Found between Brown and Boston. And yes, that happened.

Watching a Boston station on-line...said 20-30 shot at least were fired.

Woman being interviewed by Boston news said that she heard on a policeman's radio that "Suspect 1 is dead"

Pressure cooker found at the scene of the firefight...

Just saw a video on WCVB that was sent in by local resident...I counted over 25 gunshots on the video
