If Meeks returns are they able to hit enough shots to get past WV and into Final 4 in 2010...probably If Meeks returns, Eric Bledsoe probably stays til his sophomore year. Would have been enough to help Knight and Jorts past UConn and to the finals...maybe So the point that was made to me was that if Jodie Meeks stayed and played one year for Cal, UK would have been in 3 straight Final 4's and would have possibly won 2 (2010 and 2012) championships. Do we need to fire up the Delorean and go back to 2009 and talk Jodie into staying one more year? Would have rivaled the 98 team for best UK team of all-time IMO. I don't think they would have lost a game.
April 12, 201313 yr I don't like these discussions. If Meeks would have stayed who says we even get Bledsoe at that point? If UK still gets him who says he even develops into a better player? What if Meeks doesn't do the Cal system? I mean there are a lot of what ifs, and its hard to say.
April 12, 201313 yr Author Don't take it too seriously...just speculation. We will never know, unless we get Marty's Delorean or Bill and Ted's Phone Booth and go back and change his decision. Just thinking that if everything was the same would Jodie have been enough to get to 2010 team over the hump to win.
