First batter in 6th I thought lined a base hit over 3rd baseman, maybe I'm mistaken.

Never knew walks were considered unearned runs, learn something new everyday I guess

Either way, it was a great game to watch. Pitchers duel. Cooper stranded a lot of runners before finally scoring and Dunn pitched a 2 hitter before giving the mound too Doerman.

2 good teams who lived up to what I would expect out of them this year.

That was Blank in the top of the seventh who hit the ball for his second hit of the game!

Blank K's in the fifth for the last out, meaning Collins is up 1st in the sixth.

Like I said, I could of been mistaken. You are right because AJ Collins was the first to score so it was AJ who got on first in the 6th.

Either way, a great game to watch and played by both teams. CCH may have had that error, but at the same time Cooper had plenty of opportunties long before that inning and both starting pitchers had great games.

2 very good teams that didn't dissapoint, fun game to watch. These two teams have a tough 4 day stretch. Cooper in those 4 days face CCH twice, Ryle and Conner and CCH the same, Cooper twice, Conner Ryle.

Now the real question is, can either one of these 2 teams slow Ryle down?

Man you guys are something.

In the Holy Cross win over Cooper you complain that the score keeper is too easy

Here are some quotes

If you gave 7 earned runs against Dunn, then I must have watched a different game. When the first baseman drops a ball thrown to him and then the 2nd baseman moves to the side of a grounder and it goes off his glove which would have been the 2nd and 3rd outs of the inning, then HC scores the 6 runs in that inning after that. Those are all unearned. Either way, HC deserved to win the game today.

Cooper actually hit the ball off Tiberi better than I thought they would. A couple of shots right at people but that happens.

Congrats to HC on the win but no way were all those runs earned.

I bet alot of kids would want you for a score keeper if that's what you thought were earned runs. I was watching from the hill through the first 4 and Dunn gave up 2 or 3 max earned runs. I saw 2 errors that led to that big inning which would have had them out of the inning before the big inning happend. HC deserved to win the game with that kind of play, but to tag Dunn with 7 ridiculous.

Ugly game for the Jags. As others said, if those were 7 earned runs then I want that scorekeeper for my team lol.

And you guys rag on me for congratulating your team, giving your pitcher a well deserved very well pitched game and then commented that I thought the story of the game was CovCath pitchers giving up 8 walks. WOW...... Talk about double standards.:walk:

What double standard?

I haven't seen 1 post about the HC game that used errors as an excuse Cooper lost.

What I remember was clarifying that Dunn didn't give up 7 Earned runs. No one ever said HC didn't deeserve that win. If so please quote that post.

Honest question and from your view as I am sure you had a better view than I.

Both Pick off plays at 1st base that Blue called safe and both times our 1st baseman comes back hot saying he tagged the runner out. One was the pick off from the pitcher and the 2nd was from the catcher.

The 5U fc in the 3rd honestly and truthfully was a blown call. Your third baseman missed the runner and even if he had tagged him he still had the ball in his hand not in his glove. The stolen base by Youngblood in the 7th was the correct call!, as was the last out to end the game!

What double standard?

My first comment of the game was congratulating Cooper, I said Dunn pitched a very good game, then I said I thought that the real story of the game was CovCath giving up 8 walks and then I made a factual comment of the game that 2 runs that were driven in via walk were unearned runs.

What did I say, that wasn't factual, or 100% correct, in my first post!

Was this the first time Bieger has beaten Krumps since Bieger has been at Cooper?

Congrats to the Jags, and CCH will be fine.

The first pickoff play at first you talked about I thought he was out. The 2nd one though even though the 1st baseman was upset aand thought he tagged him out, he was actually safe, his reach was between the glove and leg to get back to the base and was never tagged.

The problem with those calls at 1st was the ump on both plays had bad angles (why I always felt they need 3 umps for varsity games). The plays at 3rd, I thought youngblood was safe, but the 3rd out at 3rd, I had a bad view of that play.

Yes it was. I knew when I showed up for the game and he had Dunn on the mound hhe wanted this win bad. I thought Lawhorn might get the call and save Dunn for Ryle but I was wrong.

I agree with one of the calls on first. The throw from the pitcher I would say he was out but the throw from the catcher he didnt even tag on the swipe it was the second tag after the swipe and he was on the bag by then but none the less we can argue all night about numerous calls just leave it as a good game and looking forward to see if Cooper can keep their composer for the next three games and good Luck to the Colonels and see ya Saturday. Glad to see Wardo "Great Guy"

It's all good TOG, just thought you were trying to infer that Cooper fans used errors aas an excuse why they lost to HC and not one of us used that as an excuse, we were simply correcting the statement that Dunn gave up 7 earned runs in that game..

Either way, I think going into this game and seeing who was on the mound it would bbe a pitchers duel. I think the next game Saturday will be much different. That game I think will be told by the defenses. Dunn when he is on is tough to hit and thought it would be a low scoring game especially seeing who was on the mound for CCH. Saturday I think there will be more hits and the defenses will be the deciding factor. Should be 2 totally different games.

IMHO, Bieger isn't going to threw Dunn vs. Ryle in a non district seeding game. Honestly I felt all along he would go with Dunn today!

I was happier to see Mrs Wardo lol

Well, that could be true, but thought he would throw Lawhorn since Dunn pitched Satruday and LAwhorn was due but now it looks as if Lawhorn may get the nod against Ryle.
