The everyone uses a closer argument is one of the funniest ongoing arguments that is absolutely useless to a conversation I've ever heard. Of course everyone uses a pitcher in the 9th inning. Would you rather them forfeit? The argument isn't that nobody should pitch the 9th. The argument is that 99% of major league pitchers could pitch the 9th and teams would win very close to the same % of the time as if Chapman pitched.
