Who are the power hitters from each school and who will be leading each region in homers?

Here is what I can see in Louisville:

 

Bullitt East and Butler have a lot of very good hitters, but not sure how many returning players for great power. Hunter Johnson at PRP is all about power, with 6-7 HR last year with the BBCor bats.

 

St. X has a lot of gap-to-gap guys, but the 400 foot fence to center and 375 to the alleys keep almost everyone in the park.

 

Sean Dageforde at Trinity has a big bat.

 

Harrison Scanlan at Manual is a power hitter but again plays a lot of games in a big yard.

 

Male has a small ball park, so I look for a couple of multi-HR guys emerge this year.

 

Michael Deleon at Ballard has the makings of a slugger.

 

Eastern has hitters, but not sure how many guys will regularly hit for power.

With the bats that are currently being used, the days of the long ball are over. You wil see a couple but I would say if a single kid hits 5 or more that's a pretty good season. Oh, and welcome aboard, Dinger.

From Ballard, how about Ricky West? Kid has been a freak since he was 8. Not a big kid height wise, but strong and crushes the ball. I know he logged varsity time as a frosh. He and DeLeon were a formiddable duo with the Longhorns.

6th- Bullitt East Hunter Wood (WKU) hit 6 hrs and 7 triples last year.

North Bullitt Clayton Kelly (Murray State) 6 hrs

 

7th Harrison Scanlon (WKU) big time power

St. Xavier- 1B Hayden Ford and DH Andrew Hubbs

From Ballard, how about Ricky West? Kid has been a freak since he was 8. Not a big kid height wise, but strong and crushes the ball. I know he logged varsity time as a frosh. He and DeLeon were a formiddable duo with the Longhorns.

 

I believe Ricky will be playing for the Midland Tomahawks for summer ball. You want to talk about a stacked team. Wow!!!!

They definitely can stack them at Midland. I have experience with the Midland Braves which would be 17's now. Karl Ellison (Vandy), Jacob Niggemeyer (Ohio State) Zach Shannon (Ohio State) and Trevor Simon (Marshall) to name the ones off my head. Nate Verst BB, Eric Clarkson Ryle, Michael Nelson Ryle, Mason Forbes Ryle, Derek Varner Turpin, Brenden Wells Scott also played at different times for the Braves.

Cameron Fogle for Conner

I agree with Fogle, probably the class of the 33rd district with 6 homers last year. I have my eye on Williams, Maines and Hart from Cooper also. With a short porch at Cov Cath in right field it opens the door for lefties like Schrevier. Baumann from Ryle had 4 homers last yr and you can't count out Plyvan and T. Mason. Forbes also has a chance to match his travel ball numbers. Suchanek BW, Wassom SK, and Klein from Boone will drive the ball. Who are some other dark horses?

Cameron Fogle for Conner

 

Hit 6 bombs from the lead off spot last year.

 

Coming into his senior season he already has career records for triples, doubles (i believe), stolen bases, he is within 13 of the hits record, and by years end, he'll have the career games played record as well.

 

He can flat out play baseball. For my money, probably the best player in NKY, and one of the best in the state. Played in the JR/SR all state game last year.

 

We've all seen his speed on Friday nights, he can cover some serious ground in the outfield, and it's almost a sure thing he's stealing second when he gets on base. He's a career .450 batting average, and rarely ever strikes out.

 

If he wasn't playing for Stoops in Lexington next year, I'd say he'd have some serious opportunities on the diamond. But football is his passion and 1st love. Baseball is just fun for him.

Dark horse? I know many here dont want to hear it, and yes I get it, but there arent many around that have the pop of the two Frosh

At Beechwood. Combs may get limited by that deep right porch, but Ethan should be salivating to hit em up on the gym, but they can both hit them out of any park.

Cameron may have hit the deepest HR I've ever seen a HS player hit last year at Lexington Tates Creek. Over the 375 fence in right center, over the trees, and onto the roof of an apartment complex. Conservative estimate: 425 feet.

In addition to the 4 homeruns, Thomas Baumann (Ryle) also set the school record for triples in a season with 7.
