Hopkinsville's length will give people some problems. Their half court trap is as good as I've seen in a while. They are very athletic and use that to their advantage. Plus, they rotate 8-9 players regularly without missing much.

However, they tend to fall in love with the 3-point shot. They have a 6-4 beast inside in Jaqualis Matlock who touched the ball on only seven possessions out of 53 through three quarters against Henderson County in the region finals. He touched the ball on all but four in the fourth quarter and finished with 17 points, including 11 of 12 at the FT line. They have to do a better job of feeding him.

If South Oldham can force Hopkinsville to play a half-court offense every time down, they may can exploit that to their advantage. Jordan Majors is the playmaker, but he is a two-guard and can force things when they move him to the point.

Hoptown's key is junior guard Trey Edwards. He took over the game against Henderson County and will need to run the Tiger offense and look inside to Matlock instead of settling for iso plays every time

Hoptown is my dark-horse. I would not be shocked if they wound up playing Sunday.

I like Hoptown's draw in the state tourney.....................Not hearing much about them and they could be the under the radar team.

I feel like they have a draw where they only really need one upset to get there...

Hop-town 65-54.

I don't necessarily think they would need any upsets to get to the championship game. Madison Central is great, but I would put Hoptown right there with them.
