Anyone that has watched these two should know that this was not going to be a game and that's even with CCH stinking it up offensively in the first half. Lead got to 25.

 

Hats off to the effort of Newport. Not enough horses. Not enough scorers.

 

CCH will need to play a LOT better offensively on Sunday.

I completly agree, Newport palyed good the first have the Shorts didn't seem to on all cylinders today. Even if Newport didn't have enough. Cov Cath made them look like they didn't belong in the tournement.

2nd half of this one Newport was absolutely horrible, turnover after turnover, penetrating into a crowd, & not getting back on "D".

 

Congrats to the Wildcats and Coach Snapp on a very nice season.

 

Good luck to CovCath tomorrow, it should be another good one.

You going to reprise your 20 point prediction from the district championship game? Just curious?

Wheels simply fell off for Newport in the second half. Covcath wins this one regardless as they have the better team but I thought this would be much closer. Hats off to the Colonels for executing their game plan and advancing.

Newport just has no bench and got tired in the second half. CovCath can go a legit 8-9 deep and it just took a toll after awhile. CovCath took some bad shots and will have to have more patience on Sunday.

 

I think they have some nice peices on the bench including his son. His son hit a nice shot at the end of the game. The price kid played some good minutes. But didn't get enough time. The Weatherspoon Kid look to have some talent as well where have these three kids been hiden all year. I think if Snapp plays these guy a bit more tonight he could of spared some fouls on his starters and gave them a bit of a rest

Even if all that. CCH would of still be to much. Not only if did Newort get out played they got Out Coached there was several time Newport could of used a time out and they didn't and the game was out of hand before you knew it. You could see players was getting frustrated and Snapp didn't call a timeout to settle his group down for what ever reason I don't know. But on to the Next, It will be intresting to hear who are the Next kids that are not newport orgin kids that will be on the roster, I have also heard that he will be looking to leave on once the first eye poping job comes availabe
