The 10th Region

Featured Replies

What do you think of the 10th region this far? Are the teams you think are at the top where they should be? Are there teams that are not playing to their potential? Any surprise teams that are playing better then you expected.

Here's my opinion:

Pendleton County-The Wildcats are favored to win the 10th region again this year and so far nobody from the region has beaten them, had a very close game against Mason County winning 82-79 in Double Overtime, Cambell County with a 3pt. loss was next, Then Brossart with only a 5pt. defeat.

George Rogers Clark/Clark County has always been a top 10th region team and they are at the numbrer 2 spot,IMO

Mason County is at #3 but this may change because they have a rematch against Pendelton County on Feb 24th, then I may change my rating. I like Darius Miller and the Middleton kid they both can play.

Scott at #4 is new to the region and their playing well seen them play against Mason County.

Brossart is right were they need to be at #5 and may surprise some teams down the road.

Montgomery County has improved since I saw that against Deming in the beginning of the year at #6.

Bracken County is at #7 were I thought they would be lower then this. Jesse Hall is a great player.

Silver Grove isn't a team I've seen yet but I've read and heard about the team

season. They're at #8.

Bourbon County is at #9, Their 3pt loss to Mason County was a great game on Dec. 06 was a great.

Harrison County is at #10, after they beat Mason County last year in the regional tournament last year I was surprised of the outcome of that game and thought they would be at least #2. But this my opinion. Adam Cunningham is fine player.

Campbell County is at #11, Kenny Walker and Brett White are fine players.

St. Pat to me is a surprise at #12, new Coach Jason Hinson took the hand that was dealt to him and took his team and made something more out of a lot people felt like was a team that would be at the very bottom, shows what a young coach could do if given the chance.

Deming is at #13, I for one would thought the Black Devils would at least be at #5 with they Preseason wins against "bigger" teams like Garrard County and a win in Rupp Arena against Louisville Holy Cross, their just not were I thought they should be, but give them credit they don't quit. The effort is there.

Augusta at #14, the Panthers are struggling like alot of the teams this year, they have a good player in Levi Gallagher.

Calvery Christian is at #15. Haven't seen them play yet but because of their record I'll put them here.

Paris at #16, never thought the Greyhounds would have a down year, they were IMO, one the best last year.

Nicholas County at 1-13 is at the bottom with their only win against Augusta.

That's how I see the region any comments or changes anyone would like to make feel free to give me your opinion.

Those rankings look a little more accurate. Although Campbell has a losing record, they can beat anyone on a given night.

I agree, I don't think Harrison should be ranked 10 since they have beaten Bourbon Co. and Bishop Brossart.

Team schedules need to be taken into consideration. Harrison's schedule has been unbelievable. They have beaten 2 teams in the top 25 in the state. Tates Creek and Brossart. Don't be surprised if the Thorobreds don't make some noise if they get a little luck!!!

I agree thats why i pluged them in the 5 spot.

No matter what Tiger1 says, Scott is not a top four team in this region. Pendleton, Brossart, Mason County, George Rogers Clark, and Campbell County have all proven to be better teams than Scott. I would take those 5 as the only ones with a legit chance at Rupp. You could say this about Scott: :scared:

Pendleton is number one for sure having beaten Mason on their home court,Brossart on their home court,Bourbon on their home court and everyone else that they have played so far in the region.Everyone else you can put in a hat and draw out the winner any given night.

hope you weren't basing your Scott at 8 vote off last night. They didn't start a guard. Scott will be a team to reckon with come March.

I don't see Pendleton County having much trouble in the postseason until they make it to Rupp. Mason County is the only team that I have seen that can give them a run.

No, it was based on 4 losses in a row, The only game I've actually seen them play was at Mason County.
