Paintsville Parents

I have seen posts complaining about playing time and whining about someone elses child getting to play, because their parents might make more money and I really think these people should spend more time worrying about their child's G.P.A. than their P.T.!!!!!!!!!!! NO MATTER how you play ball you still have to make the grades!!!! Every College looks at grades and act/sat scores. Colleges even have minimum requirements. So if your children are not passing their classes, they are only going to community or tech college!!! If you read the paper, you might know that KY's talent is down!!! So get over sports and make your children do their homework and show some respect to their teachers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you be referring to? How does this relate to parents from Paintsville? Just asking.

I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

I have just been reading posts for the last year and have seen How people say someone gets to play because of who his daddy is or because his dad sponsered the hoops classic. Do you think BMR plays kids to get their dads to donate or because he thinks they can play?

I agree that grades of the student are very important, more so than athletics, cause lets be honest, many of this kids dont have the chance or skills to play big college ball and maybe a shot at the NBA. But in this area this is always going to be a reoccuring complaint. Alot of politics are involved in local high school sports, that's just the way it is. When you live in a community where everybody knows everybody, you are going to have this problem.

I would say that he plays them because they can play!

BMR's record speaks for itself.

NOt a huge fan of his but he must be doing something right.

I haven't seen anybody from Paintsville crying on here about playing time. If they were I'd challenge them to do it to Bill Mike's face:)

I always wondered why Coach Runyon played people like John Pelphery, J.R. VanHoose, and Todd Tackett, I mean it was obvious these guys couldn't play a lick of basketball. It all makes sense now, their parents paid him off. I don't think anyone has been doing much complaining and if so, I think they need to let the coaches coach. Paintsville's record since Coach Runyon took over speaks very loudly of its self.
