Nevels played college football at Cumberland and I think Eastern Kentucky also. He coached at Lloyd for a few seasons and also coached at Holmes for a few seasons. Spent last year helping broadcasting highschool football games. Played RB/LB for Simon Kenton and played LB in college.

He might have also played at Campbellsville also.

as far as I know about his background is he was Holmes defensive coordinator during Lickert days and Liggins first year

Ben is a great guy that comes from a really great family as well. I think that he will really be able to light a fire under some of the young men at Holmes. Anyone that's spent any time around him can tell you how passionate he can be about the game of football and pushing himself and others to do their best. I think it's a good hire and I will definitely be trying to keep up with Holmes this season.

I think him and Hopkins will do great especially if they bring in the guy on offense that they are hoping for...

Congrats to Ben!! This a good fit for Holmes and I hope for nothing but the best for Ben!

Congrats to Ben what a great hire, if I had a kid today in high school I would love for Ben to coach him. I met Ben the first time when he was playing football in pee wee and also high school. I got to really know Ben when he came to Lloyd and what a great person to have teaching your children. I wish him and Holmes the best of luck as this is definitely a positive move for Holmes. JD
