with new rules for drugs used in lethal injections.

The Kentucky attorney general's office told Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd in documents filed Friday that the new method uses one or two drugs instead of three. That new method also addresses legal challenges raised by inmates.

The only thing I have to say is that I am 1000% against the death penalty.

Why?

Why?

Several reasons, some religious, some simply skeptical.

I don't believe it is our place to decide who lives and dies.

Death is not necessarily a punishment to some on death row.

There is opportunity for the evidence to be incorrect, or incomplete, and innocent people can (and have) been put to death with that evidence.

Those are a few.

I agree with this one 1000%!

Also, depending on where you commit your crime you can be more or less likely to get the death penalty. In other words, commit your crime in Jefferson County and look out, but commit your crime in "Smaller Poor County KY" and the case could be a budget buster so you will get a "lesser" punishment.

Agreed. And there is no such thing as "blind justice".

I'm for the death penalty in theory, but in practice I'm pretty much against it for the reason RM stated and G highlighted.

Exactly how I feel.

I wish Casey Anthony would've gotten the death penalty. I'm glad some inmate in Wisconsin took it upon himself to give Jeffrey Dahmer the death penalty (and google the details about the guy killed WITH Dahmer if you have a chance...his name was Jesse Anderson and I have no problem with him dying either). I am fine with Ted Bundy frying in "Old Sparky".....How should we deal with our most heinous murderers?

Which leads me to ask...is anyone else watching "The Following"???

Kill the adults who commit the horrible sex crimes and murder on little kids. And everyone should know the ones I am talking about.

If you really want rid of guns, then execute anyone who gets caught with a gun used in a crime, bet gun crimes go down.

I have to say I have moderated on this one over the years. Every time you see a death-row inmate exonerated via DNA or other means it shows that the system does have flaws. And since death penalty cases are usually high profile - there is a lot of pressure to get a conviction - even when wrong.

Absolutely agree. And sometimes, even witness testimony used is false. And there can be problems with physical evidence. Our justice system is the best possible, but not infallible. Aside from my religious perspective, that is my overriding objection to the death penalty. Once a person actually is put to death, there's no "do over".

I agree there is no do over ,but what if the person admits to it, evidence is 100% guilty.

There is also no do over for the little kids who are snatched, raped, killed, dumped in garbage.

Pro abortion?

Pro abortion?

No.
