Interesting Thursday night matchup, as Aric Russell's Camels travel to Augusta for a battle with Jason Hinson's Panthers. Campbell County has been up and down this season, while Augusta has earned 17 wins in 24 games. Having said that, the Panthers are 0-3 against teams ranked higher than them in the 10th Region (Pendleton County, Harrison County, & Bishop Brossart). Both teams boast very nice Junior/Senior 1-2 punches, with Corey Holbrook/Nate McGovney leading the way for the Camels & Brent Bach/Tanner Kelsch leading the way for the Panthers.

 

One other side note: I'm told this is the first ever matchup between these two schools.

I've yet to see Augusta play, but I don't think Campbell County is playing very well together as a team. I'm going with what I'm guessing is to be considered an upset. Augusta by 4 in a very high scoring affair.

It will be a great game tonight, but Camels are well rested and ready to play. They will win by 5.

This one should be a good one! I think its gonna be closer than people think IMO

Is this one of those games where it's much bigger for Augusta than it is for CC? Not from a district seeding standpoint but from a "how excited is one team to play the other?"

I agree its much bigger for Augusta. There not a huge contender every year and they've got a good team now and there playing with confidence and I think when they step on the court they believe they can win.

I think that Campbell County will be up for the occasion. The two teams have never played each other. There is a reason that they've been invited into the Panther Pit. Campbell has too much pride to not put forth their best ever.
