Congratulations to Gallatin County!

So much for Trimble Counties coaches last comment in the Courier. She said " we feel like we have some unfinished business from last year " maybe next year huh!!!!

 

I'm pretty sure she was trying to motivate her players. In my limited contact with her, she's never come off as a trash talker. Coaches often use other teams to motivate their own.

Who made the 8th Region All Tournament team besides the girls listed in this thread?

I wasnt there and heard about the tournament second hand and reading from here, but was this a weird tournament? Walton loses a top player, Owen's leading scorer had to wear a face mask and Gallatin loses a top player in the first 2 minutes of the second round game for the year. WOW!!!

Congrats to both teams as I hear Trimble played well and are much improved. Congrats to Gallatin and best of luck in the state!

I can't provide a full list, but here are the ones I remember. W-town Alex Prokopachak, Owen Kennedy Dermon and I think one more, WV Michelle Judy and one more, Trimble Chloe Griffith, Erin Gonterman, Jessie Dunlap and Paige Black. There are likely names I left out. I couldn't write them all down and got #s from people on the court last night.

1st let me say congratulations to the Lady Wildcats and Coach Roberts. I great accomplishment for a great coach and person! Also, congrats to the Dossett family (players and coach). 2nd you people looking to start something by saying that the Trimble County coach had to eat her words for saying last year we didn't win and have unfinished business??? Come on people, what is she suppose to say we were glad we finished 2nd and hope to again? If you don't win the tournament you have unfinished business the next year. She should say the same thing next year and hope that they can win it. Don't try to create controversy! Big thing though, CONGRATS Lady Wildcats.

You are correct. From Walton Verona was Michelle Judy and Hailey Ison.

You are correct. You will not find a classier lady than Kerrie Stewart.

Great point. It definitely did not fully follow the expected story line. As you stated, injuries played a part. Secondly, Trimble had something to say and I think earned a lot of respect. Probably not many outside their program put them in the finals when first looking at the brackets.

Don't know her, but if her team is a reflection of her leadership, I would have to agree. Every time I see Trimble play, their girls will invite the other team, coaches and cheerleaders for prayer at halfcourt. Very classy and, as far as I am concerned, the best way to leave a game.

When you look at Trimble's schedule, they've only been out of two games this year, Connor and Lex CA. They played Gallatin tough twice, Walton Verona was so close they could taste the W, minus the first quarter played Owen tough at Owen, and was right there with Oldham. They did get over the hump against Owen Friday night. Finding people to fill the holes of the two seniors will be the key to keeping the program on the rise.

 

At some point, moral victories need to be turned into wins. That's the ultimate key.
