Cooper vs Highlands Predictions

Featured Replies

Tripleheader starts today at 11am this morning.

Birds will struggle in the paint with 6'6 JR Center Nick True in Texas for the US Army JR football combine. Although replacement Jake Gronotte is coming off his best game of the year scoring 12 the other Night.

Keys for Highlands will be to play aggressive possessed defense and hope McNeil and Collins shoot a very low percentage.

Should be first real test for Birds against 9th Region opponents since the Dixie game last month.

Game is being played at Cooper and is Highlands' 11th straight game on the road.

Stay FOCUSED Highlands, and you got this one!

I don't think True being gone has as much of an impact as some might think. Louis is not a strong low-post guy. His game is more perimeter-oriented so you can have a smaller guy guard him. He's very athletic though so it's still a challenge.

Could be a long afternoon for the Birds especiallly if they wheel 10-11 kids in during the 1st qtr like they have the past 6 games. The revolving door has re-opened at Highlands.

I picture this is a 50 something to 40 something game.

Similar to last season. I am looking forward to my first trip to the Cooper gymnasium. I hear it is very nice.

Nice gym. Bright. The glass at the one end makes it interesting and unique.

Good place to watch a game although I doubt there will be much of a crowd there today(not because it's Highlands but rather because it's Saturday afternoon).

Yep, I have no clue why Highlands schedules 4-5 games on Sat afternoon every year. Who wants to play in empty gymnasiums on Sat afternooons?

Was thinking about going to this game since I live right down the road in Orleans, but with UC playing at 4, think I'm just gonna stay in today. Heading to the Monroe outlets with the girlfriend now.

As for the game, I like the Jags by 10-15. Highlands being short handed doesn't help their cause but I think Cooper's press could give the Birds some problems. Like Clyde, I expect a low scoring game.

Somebody needs to get their nest in order.

Can't believe you are going to pass up a hoops game, especially when it's less than 90 seconds from your house and you can sit and chat with Q. It's obvious who wears the pants in this relationship.

Polo had some really good deals on stuff so it wasn't a wasted trip for me.

In all seriousness, the UC game starting at 4 had a lot more to do with not going than the trip this morning.
