January 12, 201313 yr Mine was less, but since I looked at the temporary reduction over the last couple years as a gift, I wasn't disappointed. I am not understanding why everyone is so upset about the tax reverting to it's normal rate....it was never presented as permanent. I'm happier that my income tax rates aren't going up, which is where it would have hurt the worst. Of course, had they reverted, I'd still be ok with it, as again...until this legislation made them permanent, they were meant to be temporary as well. But in the case of the payroll tax, that funds SS, so I definitely don't have a problem having that revert.
