looked good to me I thought you where allowed 2 steps on a layup

I always thought you could take one step with your "non-pivot foot" foot but then you had to pass or shoot before your pivot foot came down onto the floor, or else it was walking.

Can't say that I agree that the Eurostep is legal. It started in the NBA where walks are seldom called. Just because it is allowed there doesn't mean it should be legal in high school.

May want to recheck your info. As stated in the psot below yours, just read that post. As was mentioned, it's called the Euro step for a reason, it's not called the NBA step. I have been involved with Euro basketball and players going on 3 years now, even little kids in Europe do the Euro step, it's not too hard to do but for some reason ref's here it's too hard to make the correct call, or they just think it had to be a walk without even knowing.

 

Clyde, people yelling about the walk, particularly the Euro step, and the "over the back" call gets me the most, a little on the charging cal as well.

This is a classic. Legal by rulebook definition and even more apparent when you watch the video yet "my opinion is I can't agree it's legal" is the one that will be yelling and posting on BGP all the "obvious calls" that are missed.....

I think it's often tough for referees as well because there are some players (mostly younger) that will have a hesitat

....hesitation and lift their foot and then continue with their two steps which is so quick and tough to see for fans and coaches who start yelling "euro-step" when in reality it is a walk sometimes. It's like the block/charge call. It's often called incorrectly both ways.
