Just posting what I see and what I'm told.

I'd say 75-80% of the time talking to the recruit is a poor source of information from my decade in the business if that is the only side of the story you are getting.

 

Either way, pretending to be connected by saying "I am hearing" or "sources are telling me" is the biggest joke when you don't have contact with recruits, high school or college coaches at any level. Just keep it real, and say you are getting info from Twitter, and pass along where it comes from to give some credit to the people actually doing the work...

I have been. Reason I had mentioned him earlier was because when Kentucky was looking for coaches he told me not to say anything but he was right when he told me who the new coach was. Everything that I've seen on twitter (Which is where just about all the stuff is being reported from) I copy and paste word for word unless it's a Direct Message then I post what I'm being told. I can take a screen shot of the DM and post if you like.

After looking on ESPN recruiting page I clicked Kentucky to see what players have UK listed as a possibility and I will say that it looks like UK is going after a lot of high offensive players and high caliber players in general. I doubt UK gets even half of them but to see that thy are even trying is half the battle.

Here are the DM about Jason Hatcher that we talked about Earlier. The other DM was talking about the Nebraska recruit that decommitted and that maybe following Vince Marrow to UK.

That's the goal when you hire a staff like UK has with a very good track record on the recruiting trail. Just need to close on a few of the bigger targets and round it out with more talent than the previous staff expected to land. And then coach them up of course. UK is on the right track in phase one...

Yeah I mean if they can get Woulard and maybe Timmons plus a couple others that would be a good building block. Trouble with UK in the past was the development of players once they got there. If the staff can develop these players then it'll only help the future of the program.
