Im sick of hearing the "this game doesn't mean anything" excuse. If you think about it, does any game mean anything this year except for a warmup to the distrcit draw?

Goliath, Not trying to say that at all. Games are crucial to the success of the season. Every game is a chance for situations and the shear act of competition to see who will rise and make plays and who is just a practice player. Ashland desperately needs to win some good close games to be successful and make a deep tournament run!!!

Good point.

If Ashland draws Rose Hill at home in districts it will be a close one!

I believe that Ashland will be fine. The group of kids that are still on the team play for the SCHOOL. They my seem frustrated, but they know what is expected of them when they walk on the floor. The walk and talk about championships there. They will be fine. Every year, there is talk about the ship crashing. I believe in this group of kids and know that they can get the job done. Like evey year, there are peaks and valleys. I know that they are deep, deep in that valley, but they know how to get back to the top of the hill. I still look for them to make that run at the end. Coach Flynn just needs to stay positive and continue to work hard at suring uo their weaknesses.

I was at Dick's today and they had a huge sale on life preservers and blow-up rafts!

Everyone knows that Im an eternal optimist, and never pick against my Tomcats, but I will say one thing. They will not be fine, and there will be no run at the end of the season, as much as I hate to say it....

Good call TCat41 they won't be fine. There is nothing fine about losing half the team and then losing most of there games.

Dont say it at41, you loving the tomcats is like apple pie, chevrolets, and mom on Bluegrass preps! I hope someone isnt making fun of your "forehead art" and getting ya down, hang in there, its always darkest just before dawn and you have Fleming County coming up on your schedule! :thumb:

Well I still my love Tomcats, no doubt about that! Always have and always will. I will still be there every game supporting the boys, that will never change. I just dont know what happened to the team that played pretty well in the 2 holiday tourneys, and was getting better, then was blowing Fairview out in the first quarter. Since that quarter the wheels have fallen off..........

The loss means nothing. As long as the Tomcats are getting better so they are ready

come tournament time I would think the Ashland faithful shouldn't throw in the towel yet.

No one would like to see Ashland win any more than me, BUT they aren't getting that much better!! Ashland won't even be a factor in the 16th Tourney. Besides, they may not even make it to the tourney with Boyd and Fairview in their District!

I dont think its time to write them off yet, but i cant see them going far into the post season this year.

I like what you say, but it sounds like fiction to me!! We are looking at a year where the word "ASHLAND TOMCAT" has no meaning. No one is intimidated by this team and this team isn't living up to the level of success expected of the Tomcats! Further, the schedule is pure suicide for most any team. What more could go wrong for the Tomcats! I don't know what is the problem, whether it be coaching or players, but for a school the size of Ashland, they should be able to get more guys on the floor to play basketball!! Rose Hill and Fairview are MUCH MUCH smaller than Ashland. What gives??

There coach gives. The bad thing is he only GIVES certain people a chance and playing time!
