November 7, 201213 yr Unless they've got a field urinalysis test or a field hair-test kit, along with a mobile lab, then there are no tests they can do to know for sure if someone smoked pot. Perhaps, but I would argue that has more to do with those people's actions — that is, they will likely display behaviors that cops are trained to look out for. By the same token, I would argue that I'd probably know as well. If each one of them were standing there like a stone, not speaking, not moving, etc., there's no way anyone could know. It's all about observing behaviors, and if the person being observed doesn't "act high" or "act drunk," there's no way to know. Jim what I'm taking about has nothing to do with behaviors like acting "high" or "drunk". Obviously nothing is 100% but saying the only way to know is to observe behaviors is wrong.

Obviously nothing is 100% but saying the only way to know is to observe behaviors is wrong. Well, I'd like to know what that magical method is. If the person in question exhibits no behavior (the way they talk, act, walk, etc.) and no obvious other clues (the way they smell, etc.), I'm not sure what's left to indicate to a cop that the person is high.

Might be because you haven't researched it or had any training. And just because you don't know it doesn't mean it's magic.

In my line of work, I've had the privilege of knowing many, many officers of the law, some of whom I consider my friend. Observation is the No. 1 tool they use. I've never once seen a police report where someone was busted for possession or DWI where the report didn't read "observed the strong odor of marijuana" or something along the lines of the subject was observed "acting erratically."

November 7, 201213 yr For example, if you put 5 people in front of rocket (one high, one drunk, 3 sober) I bet rocket could tell you which one was high, which one was drunk and which 3 were sober. Furthermore, I bet he could do it without smelling anything. I thought I was The only one who could do that!
