You claim that all "campaign items" should be made in America, but don't think twice walking down to Wally World and picking up whatever foreign-made junk hits your eye. Pathetic. I don't give a rats patoot where its made, and frankly most Americans don't, either. That is a gross over generalization. Any time you say "You all", chances are you are wrong. If I have the option, I, more often than not, will choose American. There are a lot of people who have to choose the lowest priced products, due to budgetary constraints. Therefore they have to buy foreign made products. That is why it is necessary to give American companies an environment that will make them competitive. And I stick with the premise that, given their almost unlimited funds, the campaigns should always buy American, when possible.

Howeve, when it comes to clothes, I have no such conscience. I also have no problem with a campaign buying from wherever. That would fly in the face of capitalism, IMO. I also had no problem with Ralph Lauren having the Olympic duds made in another country. That's just me.

However, both candidates state that they are trying to create jobs in the United States and make the economy stronger. Shouldn't they set an example by contributing to the United States economy and employment by purchasing campaign products in the United States. I don't think capitalism means that you should have to take the lowest price, it just means you have a variety of choices.

The point of the fake picture is that Romney said he'd be tough on China and here he is with a Romney hat that says made in China. That wouldn't be us being hypocritical it would be Romney. October 31, 201213 yr There are over 200 million eligible voters in the United States...and two primary presidential candidates for them to vote for. There's bound to be a hypocrite or two (or a million) mixed in there. It only takes one of them to order up some hats made in China... Regardless, they're not the official hats offered on the Romney/Ryan campaign site.
