I think he has a very high ceiling. Great upside. He has great length. You can't teach that wonderful length. He's very active.

 

Lou is the best big defender in NKY. He is really tough to score on.

 

He started getting more active offensively late in the season. His best move that he added was catching it off the block and then facing up and putting the ball on the floor.

It will be interesting to see how they handle expectations. For years they've been the little guy that got up and played tough against better opponents that may possibly have overlooked them. They won't get that this year.

Clyde, is he a better interior defender than Antonio Campbell? I'm not saying it isn't close as I like how far Louis has come in his progression but i would go with Campbell as the best interior big-man defender in the 9th.

I forgot about AC. I'm never sure if he's actually at HC. Both are great shot blockers. Lou is more athletic. AC might be physically stronger. It's not as far off as some might think.

Yeah I wasn't saying it was that far off either (as I mentioned I like Louis a lot) but after watching AC up close for 30+ games last year I don't think anyone in the 9th blocks and/or alters more shots than he does. Not to mention the rebounding with the length he has. If it is close he will get it or tip it to himself. Indian fans should get to see quite a few dunks this year from AC.

 

And by the way, AC has been back at HC for quite a while so we should be able to finally put that rumor to bed.

 

Can't wait for the start of the season. I think the 9th will be as wide open as it has been in a few years. While NCC will be ranked #1 pre-season and have a very good starting 5, I question their depth/bench play. I see that #1 slot in the 9th revolving every week as to who is playing best at that time.

I hope the Jags can overcome a slow start since they have players on the playoff football team. It is a double edged sword. You want the football team to do well, but you also know the basketball team needs those players as soon as possible. My boy Coach Sullivan will be just fine though! The end result is what counts. Not the first few games!

I did answer that one in post 19. Lou is more athletic than Tony. Both are great shot blockers/adjusters. IMO it's really close because Lou can go out and guard. Tony cannot IMO.

You always want all of your teams to do well especially at a new school like Cooper. It will put the b-ball team back a few weeks but once January arrives they should be back to full strength.

With major contributors coming from the football team, the basketball team may hit some bumps early. But don't count them out. Coach Sullivan and his staff is pretty good at bringing a team along.
