An Deputy Sheriff in Marion County was killed today in the line of duty, shot by a person on a traffic stop. Where is the outrage against the shooter? There are thoughts and prayers everywhere for the Deputy and his family but where is the Public Outrage for this...keep looking because you won't find it.

When a LEO shoots and kills someone the media and others go out of their way to point out everything wrong that the officer may or may not have done, often without knowing any of the facts.

But when a LEO is killed in the line of duty it seems as if it's no big deal and they should have known what they were getting into when they took that job.

LEO's face hundreds of calls each month and any one of them could be their last. I chose to think that they are much more prepared to make these decisions than Monday Morning QB's.

I've seen multiple stories, tweets and facebook posts on the tragic shooting of the officer. I don't think you'll find a news outlet or any reasonable person that wouldn't be outraged over the shooting of a police officer by someone who was on the way to do harm to his estranged wife. There's not much else they can do other than report what happened.

Yes it is on the net and on the news for 24 hours and there will be another story when they have his funeral and then all will be forgotten by the media and most citizens.

There was outrage as you know in our community and around the state for weeks if not months when Sheriff Catron was murdered, but anymore when an officer is killed it has about a 24-48 news cycle and is forgotten.

Would you prefer a new story be written/broadcast about it every day? I'm not sure what you're looking for here ...
