I think it is a great story. Congratulations to the young lady and to Raceland's coaches and fans.

Kalyin Dill, who graduated from Bellevue High School last year, handled extra pts. and field goals for 3 seasons. Nicole Schowalter at Dayton did the same last season, but don't know if she is doing the same this year. Congrats to this young lady, sometimes girls are better than boys when it comes to kicking, especially if they play soccer.

She is a great young lady who wanted to kick for all the right reasons. She didn't come out and attempt to prove that she could compete with the boys, she came out to help the team. She has taken on a personal of "I'm a football player", not "I'm a girl football player". I have to say that I am proud of her, and glad to have her on the team.

 

The setting was great. All the other candidates where in their dresses with their escorts in suits and she came across the field in her football uniform with her escort wearing a jersey with HER number on it. Great sight.
