Bath County 21 Garrard County 20

Featured Replies

Well this one surprises me and has to be considered a bit of an upset.

Not really a huge upset. Bath County has a nice squad and Garrard is really struggling to find play makers. Bath County beat Garrard with big plays to score all three touchdowns. Garrard's offense was effective all evening, but was hampered by two critical fumbles in Bath territory. Garrard also missed a field goal with under three minutes to play that would have given them the lead. The 20 points also reveals a missed two-point conversion just before half time that would have made the score 22-14. Garrard elected to throw out of the kicking formation, ran a really nice play, but was broken up by an even better play by the Bath County defender.

Garrard still has potential to be a very solid ball club. The Lions have three losses by a combined 10 points, so it isn't as though they are getting blown out. Hopefully the offense will continue to improve and the team will be able to get back on the winning track next week.

Is Garrard's QB hurt? Billy Abner? Is that his name?

Abney. Not hurt. He left the Anderson County with an injury but has played every game since and is healthy. He has put up big numbers, perhaps due to a couple reasons, but the biggest is he hasn't seemed to find a wide receiver that he is comfortable with. The last couple of games, however, it appears that Jacob Smith is becoming a favorite target of his. As Smith develops, Abney's numbers should increase.

Congrats to the Wildcats on a big win!!

Congrats to Bath! Do either one of the teams pose a threat to Bourbon Co?
