Actually they typically wake up around week 3. Win 6 or 7 in a row, lose 3-4 in a row and scrape their way into the playoffs. But yes, this is normal.

Eli has made probably one bad throw. This loss (assuming the Giants keep stinkin it up) ain't on him. It's on the poor O-line play and the piss poor effort from the secondary.
