The Aces sweep all three of their city foes.

Go Aces!!! City Champs!!

Is OHS just not good this year?
They are 2-1 and city runner-ups to a pretty good Owensboro Catholic team. So I wouldn't say they are not good.

I guess it depends on if you think OCath is a pretty good team. OHS, OCath, DC, and Apollo have all only played each other. OHS's two wins are over too bad teams.

It's hard to tell right now. Owensboro is going to have their hands full over the next few weeks though.

I've seen Apollo, OCath, and OHS each play twice this season. I've not seen Daviess Co. but they are 0-3 and only average 7 points a game. Apollo does not look to be improved at all over the last two seasons each of which they finished 2-9. OHS seems to be in a period of decline. They were 6-5 two years ago and 5-7 last year. I 't wouldn't surprise me if they fail to reach last seasons mark. I believe that Bowling Green will have a running clock against the Red Devils if they want it.

OCath is the best team in the city / county but IMO that isn't really saying much. I'm an Apollo grad but I usually go watch the team that I think will play the best football each season. So far after 3 weeks, I'm beginning to think that I might be better off staying home this year.

I believe that OCath will end up with a pretty good record, but IMO they are not nearly as good as some of the previous teams that they have had. I'm used to seeing them put out an offense that runs like a machine. Against Apollo they only had about 3 first down the entire first half of the game. Tonight against OHS they only had one offensive TD and it didn't come until midway through the third quarter. I wouldn't mind it if they prove me wrong, but I really do not see them making much of a run in the playoffs this season.

I will say that OCath's OL/DL Logan Cart has been very impressive in the two games I have seen him play. I believe that he is committed to Ark St. He had a fumble recovery for a TD tonight and two weeks ago against Apollo, IMO he played much better than ND commit Hunter Bivin.

:lol:Woke up my dog laughing, thanks.

As far as the teams go, how in the hell does Owensboro not have one good team? I mean DC has been awful for years but no excuse for OHS and Apollo to be bad.

I have no idea why OHS doesn't have a good team year end and year out. Everybody also talks about all the athletes that they have but it isn't translating to wins lately. Now Apollo, historically has been a very poor football school. There were a few years in the late 90's early 00's in which they had some nice teams, but as far as I can remember they've never made any type of run in the post season. Daviess Co. is probably one of the 10 largest schools in the state, but they have been irrelevant in football for as long as I can remember.

Catholic physically dominated Owensboro in this game.

OHS should never be bad. Apollo just seems to always have some talent but never does anything with it.
