August 31, 201214 yr Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, TLC’s controversial reality show about a self-proclaimed “redneck” family and their Toddlers and Tiaras daughter, hit another ratings high on Wednesday night. The fourth episode of Honey Boo Boo pulled in just shy of 3 million viewers at 10 p.m., according to Nielsen overnight ratings, growing 30 percent from last week’s 2.3 million haul. In the demo, Honey Boo Boo did even better. The half-hour series’ showing among adults 18-49 bested all other cable outings for the night — coverage of the Republican National Convention, included — to pull a 1.3 rating. Honey Boo Boo More Popular Than Romney and the RNC « Dvorak News Blog
August 31, 201214 yr I've watched about 15 minutes of Honey Boo Boo and I'll admit that I like Jersey Shore and other reality shows but this show....this Honey Boo Boo....it may be the absolute worst thing I have ever seen on tv. It leaves even me speechless. There aren't words to describe it. It is the most stereotypical thing I have ever seen on tv. Its success is a bad sign for the future of television.
August 31, 201214 yr Author I agree completely BUT thats my point. It STILL OUT RATED the Repub Convention:lol:
August 31, 201214 yr I agree completely BUT thats my point. It STILL OUT RATED the Repub Convention:lol: Oh yeah, that irony is not lost. As much as I hate to say it but I'd say Honey Boo Boo will beat the DNC also. It's pretty sad.
August 31, 201214 yr Author I doubt that we are proud of our Past Presidents Bill Clinton will get great Ratings. We have star power and they are under 80 and not from Rawhide:popcorn:
August 31, 201214 yr Author Since Hilary is Secretary Of State she is prohibited. That's a shame. Maybe we can bring out Michael Dukakis in the little tank too:D
August 31, 201214 yr My guess is the Jerry Springer reruns will top the rating charts in prime time next week.
August 31, 201214 yr I'll admit I didn't watch any of the speeches this week except Mitt Romney last night. I'm sure the ratings were up for that speech though. If you tell me you are going to watch the entire DNC next week, I would probably call you a liar. Your comparison is a perfect example of why this country is so messed up currently. We care more about laughing at the misfortunes of others than about electing the right people to make decisions affecting all of us. You laugh about the R leaders of past like Ronald Reagan. I say we need to get back to the days of Reagan which is the message I heard in that speech last night. God bless, Ronald Reagan, btw. So instead of your usual banter about Mitt and the Rs and how crooked and evil they are, why don't you tell me what Obama has done the last 4 years that would convince me to vote for him. What is he doing to help this country move forward and prosper. What is he doing to make America great. I will be very surprised if you can respond without just spewing more ridiculous half witted jabs.
August 31, 201214 yr This just reinforces the notion that people like to watch another person's train wreck life . Laugh at them , and Thank God that they have more common sense than Honey Boo Boo's parents .
August 31, 201214 yr I didn't watch any of the RNC and I will likely only watch Obama's speech next week. If that. I already know I am voting for him so if The Big Bang Theory is on I'll probably be watching that.
August 31, 201214 yr Author Poor old LAWildcat. She must believe this duo will be better. Perhaps she has offshore accounts or is in that 1% that the Repubs seem to cater to. Obama has provided Health care for everyone as he promissed, Got Osama Bin laden (Which Bush failed to do), provided an excellent cabinet (including the best Secretary of State we may have ever had Hilary), In the ecomomy alone 1.BROAD POLICY: 2.The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA): a $789 billion economic stimulus plan. ref 3.US auto industry rescue plan. ref, ref 4.Start-Up activity now higher than it was during the dotcom boom. ref 5.Created task force to fight deficit. ref 6.Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009. ref 7.Temporary extension of programs under the Small Business Act and the Small Business Investment Act of 1958. ref Here is the complete list: Obama Administration’s Achievements (Thus Far) » Obama's Achievements Center
