Mercer County(1-0) travels to Richmond to take on Madison Central(1-0) this Friday night.

 

New Mercer County coach Chris Pardue got his first victory as Mercer's new head coach against his alma mater Allen County-Scottsville last Saturday and takes his Titans into a stiff test against Madison Central. Madison Central defeated Boone County in week 0 and had their bye week this past week and look to continue their winning ways against Mercer County.

 

I expect Madison Central to roll however I am looking forward to seeing how Mercer County performs against them. This is the kind of game that Mercer should learn from.

Hard to imagine too many teams from lower classifications beating Madison Central.

I love Mercer County but if we are going to be honest then I know they will get hammered this week. Mercer isn't ready to compete with a top 6A team.

 

 

Yet.

This will be the first ever game at Madison Central's new $4M sports complex that was upgraded this past summer. The home and away sides were flipped and new seating and field turf was installed.

 

Madison Central is far from being an elite team, but I think they will have way too much fire power for Mercer County. Indians 42-20.
