Bishop Brossart opened their 2012 season by throttling the Eagles of Middletown Christian 42-20. One of Northern Kentucky's best kept secrets Jake Elbert rambled through the Eagles for 430 yards on 29 carries. :notworthy:

Great job, Stangs! Jake Elbert is a beast! Great kid from a great family!

Can he run thru Bracken County's run defense which has given up a -113 rushing yards in 2 games?

Bracken is not the Bracken of old. They are steadily improving. Brossart will need a solid performance from their line against an aggressive polar bear defense. I agree with BGH, Jake Elbert is very good. He could start for any team in NKY.

Guessing he'll be "+"!:thumb:

Actually Mike Schack is the football statistician. If he says Jake had 430 yards on 29 carries, he had 430 yards on 29 carries.

I too respect the progress of the Polar Bears, and realize that they will be facing a vastly improved squad on Friday night.

Looking forward to broadcasting the game live from Brooksville.
