While 29 is shocking, the margin is not.

Did Coach Goetz go retro and act like Coach T was still the man?

HC was 6 of 25 from the line. Seems like they shot about 20% from the field.

Bulldogs are the real deal!

HC will make some noise before it's over I think.

Not at all! Just a good defensive game on both ends, while HC couldn't throw it in the ocean!

6 of 25 from the line? 25 foul shots is a lot.

56 for Holmes seems low. If HC didnt hold the ball, I'm assuming Holmes shot poorly?

They shot poorly from beyond the arc, but it didn't seem like they shot too bad from the field in general. Edmonson missed a lot of threes, and they got many layups like Holmes always does. HC just played good hard defense when Holmes was in their half court offenses.

A few notes from the sauna on Church Street.

The should really reconsider having the district at HC. You can expect packed houses for the tourney games there. Tonight in the second half they were having problems with condensation on the floor. The entire floor wasn't slippery but it was in spots especially after players hit the floor. Took numerous timeouts to dry it up.

All in all a very dull ballgame. Both sides of fans were none too enthusiastic, as Holmes jumped the front at the start of the second quarter and never looked back. I think the doors were shut at close to 7 o'clock.

Holmes didn't shoot very well from the outside but scored in transition and shots in the paint area. Henderson sat the entire second quarter but Holmes got to the lead.

Jefferson played a solid all around game.

Holmes did a very good job on defense forcing turnovers and tough shots. HC missed some open looks, at times, but had to work very hard in their halfcourt. Holmes did a nice job of forcing HC to put ball on floor and forcing them to create, which is not there forte.

Physical game at times. It was obvious that HC wanted to take it right at Rice and be physical with him and try to take him out of the game. Almost a hack-a-shaq type deal...push him off block and just be real physical.

But it goes down as a W.

No surprise at the margin of victory for Holmes. Never thought it would be much of a game but I thought HC would score more then 29 points. I would rank HC 4th in their District at least for the time being.

Not a chance they are fourth in the district. They'll be the three seed, Beechwood is the four seed.

Boys o boys listen and learn BigStud was at the game....................

This was by far and away the worst basketball game i've watched in a long time.

In the first half it was a solid game. But in the 2nd half they should of called it quits

Greg Rice should have been set home, he got away with 2 elbows to the face on dead ball situations. Holy Cross shots under 10% from both the free throw line and the 3pt line.

I know Holmes won big, but both teams would have lost to any other top team in the region tonight.

I've watched alot of holmes and HC games this year. This was the worst I've seen both teams play. HC will not have a shot against any team if they shoot like they did from 3pt land tonight.

HHS and CCH I wouldn't take to much from this game, this is both teams low point.

This is a covington guy telling you this display of basketball was terrible.

The only two people who played tonight who I will applaud are Nick Steeken and Austin Hill. Austin Hill was the man amongst boyz.

Your wrong..........I've seen all four teams play and Holmes is just that good.

Here you and I go again.. Beechwood will beat HC. IMO

Sorry but I believe your wrong today anyway. I do agree that Holmes is that good but from everything you have said for some time now is that HC would make this a game and from what I'm hearing and reading this was never a game. You would have to agree that at the present time you must rank Beechwood ahead of HC.

What is going on down in the "Community" anyway bigstud? Did your girls team really lose to Holmes or was that a misprint? The "Community" must be in a quandry after these 2 defeats.
