StThomasMore
Final. Not one of LexCath's better games or one of its better teams but a win is a win.

shooterx3
Did the Cats go "retro" or did Lex Cath slow the bal down?
Mr. Ed
Kentucky Prep Classic @ Frankfort Ashland 9 18 30 40 Lexington Catholic 11 22 33 49 Ashland Paul Blazier Adam Cannoy 4 Brandon Williams 6 Drew McDavid 12, Gary Moore 110% Hustle Award Robbie Wilcox 10 Matt Thomas 8 Lexington Catholic Taylor Stewart 2 Nathan Novasel 12 Pat Doyle MVP Reid Brown 8 Justin Burke 4 Brian Hewlett 8 Jordan Smart 5 Cornell Burbage 10 The game was played as though each team had played a tough and tiring game from last night. LC did not slow the game down but did not play as "fast paced" as they normally do. Ashland and their pace kept the game within reach but they could not pull off the upset. Shoeshine Boy
Final. Not one of LexCath's better games or one of its better teams but a win is a win. Whew!! Almost a complement for a public school. Need to be more careful when posting scores.
TCatfan
Ashland only lost by 9 despite another poor shooting night. McDavid was 3-11, Thomas 3-9, Williams 1-7, Cannoy 1-5 and Wilcox 4-9. The hustle and the rebounding was thier tonight eventhough you could tell that they were really tired.
knightsdad
Ashland took very good care of the ball and did not try to run. Catholic was content to trade baskets as long as they were in the lead. Apparently Ashland has improved quite a bit. Also LexCath does play to the level of the competition which is why their record is only 9-5. The record will probably be 16-6 by the time the playoffs start.
Goliath
Any other info from some Ashland fans that were there if there were any?
shooterx3
Impressive loss (if there is such a thing) for Ashland coming off loss to Fairview, Lex Cath is not great, but beating Scott County showed how good they were, they have a lot of depth and play a physical game, at the very least give the Cats an "A" on their character Test :thumb:
Blue Blazer
Impressive loss (if there is such a thing) for Ashland coming off loss to Fairview, Lex Cath is not great, but beating Scott County showed how good they were, they have a lot of depth and play a physical game, at the very least give the Cats an "A" on their character Test :thumb: In all fairness shooterx3 if Lexington Catholic is in the 16th Region they would be the favorite to go to Rupp. I think that to say they aren't great is very arrogant they are a premier program in the state and they play a national schedule. The Tomcats record may not look real good. However, I do think that the Tomcats probably are a top five team in the 16th. And they probably have had the toughest schedule in the 16th Region thus far!! Lexington Catholic did beat Scott Co. and we all know what Scott Co. is capable of doing to teams!!!! :scared:
StThomasMore
It is never a good sign for a school when its fans must find solace in reasonably close losses. Does the Blazer schedule seem to offer any relief (sure wins) in the coming weeks? I hope so. and I know AT41 and the others will agree.
