July 23, 201214 yr By the way, apparently Bud Selig was booed when he came on stage at the HOF induction ceremonies. Oh and indeed he was, as I watched it live on the MLB network. I believe the MLB Network talking heads called it, a "polite booing"!

July 24, 201214 yr Author Another bit of trivia. Six players whose careers began after 1970 played at least 18 years with only one team have been elected to the Hall Of Fame. They are Larkin, Ripken, Yount, Gwynn, Brett, and Scmidt.

They are Larkin, Ripken, Yount, Gwynn, Brett, and Schmidt. That was the scoreboard stumper at Sunday's game. I'm ashamed to admit I whiffed on Schmidt. That should have been an easy one. I had the other 5, but had Puckett in as my 6th person. I should have known Kirby didn't play that many years.
