July 10, 201214 yr I'm getting ready to upgrade to an iphone and I have no idea really what cool things I can do with it. I have never had an ipod or ipad or similar device. I have used my phone as a telephone and a tool to check and respond to emails basically. What are some of your favorite apps and things to do with your iphone? What things should I do first? I was told there was an app I could install that made it possible to locate my iphone in case of loss or theft that I should install as soon as possible. True? Thanks all.
July 10, 201214 yr Easier question might be what can you not do with an iPhone. I can answer that by saying not much. So many apps for just about everything. I had an iPod before my iPhone now I have the iPhone 4s and the iPad 2. I love them.

July 11, 201214 yr My favorite/ most used apps Forum Runner- for BGP Facebook Twitter ESPN Radio Quick Scan- barcode scanner for products Netflix Hulu + Spotify- best music app I use my phone for everything.. Banking, checking movie show times, weather, stocks, flashlight, iPhone is a great camera, integrated mailbox for various websites. I will say battery life isn't great but I get full use out of my phone everyday. There is just so many things to do and so many things for everyone with the iPhone.

I have an attached back-up battery which also doubles ads a hardshell case. I love it! When the battery starts to get low, I just flip a switch and it charges itself back up again. I also have a beltclip case with magnetic closure that I put the whole set-up into.
July 11, 201214 yr Find iPhone is the app you re looking for to find your phone. I can start my wife's car with my phone through on star. Speck case is best way to go unless you're very rough on them. KHSAA has a great app for scores. Yelp is a good one for finding anything local. Amazon app let's you scan bar codes in a store and gives you their price on the spot. Flashlight app if you are old. Great to read menus.

I haven't upgraded yet. I have paid for the phones but they haven't come in yet because our small local verizon store was out of them. We haven't activated anything yet and I'm sure I could put that on hold if need be. I will check that out, thanks hb20.

Apple doesn't release anything until shortly before they release the phone though. The rumors are that Apple might move the release date up from the fall to August to compete with Samsung's new phone. And if I can tell you one thing about the iPhone, if you are going to get one you don't want to get one of the old ones right before the new one comes out. Because then you will be mad at yourself for not waiting. I did it with the iPhone 3Gs right before the iPhone 4 came out. Don't get me wrong though, the iPhone 4s is a great phone and you will love it. However, I would wait.

July 11, 201214 yr Author Lets say the iphone 5 is released tomorrow, would the pricing be the same as the 4s is now? And when the 5 comes out, the 4s will be cheaper, right?
