Shark Week 2012

Love shark week, but wouldn't make it past 5 or 10 minutes playing your shark week drinking game.

Oh, I don't think any of us would. I was just posting it more because it entertained me.

Believe me, it entertained me as well, thanks. We would have all probably tried it back in our college days.

This struck me as kind of funny, and remotely pertinent to this thread...Shark attacks: Is 'Jaws' back?

"Unprovoked" shark attacks? Seriously, so are you telling me that there is such thing as a provoked shark attack?? Who the hell are these shark provokers??

Oh people like me. Although I wouldn't call it provoking. More like saying hello.

I've never swam with great whites or tigers but I have swum with at least a dozen other sharks. Mostly black tips, white tips, and reef sharks. Been bit once, my own fault, was following a black tip around and got to a place where he had no exit. Was backing out to give him room to leave, got my fin caught as he went by and accidentally hit him. He gave me a little love tap on the arm and took off. I had my wet suit on so no damage, just a smiley face on my arm where his teeth pierced the suit a bit.

That's crazy. I'm terrified of sharks. Jaws scarred me as a kid haha!

I love it. Going to Maui in Dec. Should be a good opportunity. Colder water up north should increase my odds of seeing some.

Mrs C thinks I'm nuts.

I am much more afraid of eels than I am sharks. Sharks are very predictable, moray eels are not.

I had a friend post that on their Facebook page (for no apparent reason) about 2 hours ago. I've been humming that in my head ever since.
