I can't honestly answer that question. I don't have all the data or research the Nationals have when it comes to Tommy John surgery, increasing a pitchers work load from year to year etc.... They obviously feel they are making the best decision for Strasburg, and the Nationals future. Who am I to argue that?

 

I agree with the innings limit, especially given the increase in his work load.

 

The Nationals knew (or should have known) Strasburg's limit on Opening Day. I feel that they handled the situation poorly. They should have either kept him in the bullpen for a while, or given him some additional rest throughout the season. Entering the postseason without your best pitcher is a terrible managerial decision.
