Big Brother

If Dan doesn't play it that way, he doesn't go to the end. It's just that simple. From the moment of Dan's funeral (which BTW, without that he is gone that week for sure) to the end, he pulled all the strings.

Agree 100%.

This is not about Ian, I don't hate Ian.

Dan got screwed. What a joke (in my opinon), a joke. Like Janelle said, if the jury doesn't vote for Dan it's a travesty. It was. Dan played the best game, BY FAR, Ian was gone without Dan pulling the screw job on Shane just last week.

Bitter jury syndrome kills me in both Big Brother and Survivor. More so in BB because it is my favorite reality show bar none. Vote for the best player people, arguing that Ian was a better player than Dan is insane. He wasn't bad, but come on.

But both are also social games. You know that your fate lies in the hands of people you had a hand in getting rid of. People can say they were just playing a game but IMVHO a person that can lie as easily and convincingly as Dan did has had practice outside of the house.

I think he (like Russell Hantz) got what he deserved. He played a cut throat game and alienated the jurors then tried to lie his way back into their good graces and they saw through it.

I also think Russell Hantz was completely screwed over as well. Bitterness is no excuse, you can spin it as "social" but these guys were socially good to get these people on their side. The people got screwed over and can't seperate their feelings from their vote.

The game is all about balance. You can't win by making enemies with everyone along the way. You can screw over the occasional player, but keep it respectable. If you go past a certain point, you lose all hope of winning. Dan played the game to make it to the final two, but no way he should have won. It is INCREDIBLY impressive to control things the way he did this season. The strategy to winning is all about getting that right balance though. Dan went too far in the wrong direction.

I still love Dan as a player, but you can't make that many enemies and expect to win. Keeping loyalty is a big part of the game as well. Ian did that to a much greater extent than Dan did, and it reflected in the final vote.

Bottom line, Ian had no clue what was going on with Dan. Dan had him fooled and Ian PROVED that during the speeches when he was in shock Dan had a deal with Dani. The "winner" of the game didn't even have a handle on what all Dan was in control of.

6-1? That's unbelievable. I can't believe Jenn and Ashley voted for Ian. Especially Jenn.

Brittney and Jenn are the votes I was sure Dan had.

Britney absolutely loved Ian and she was his strongest ally while she was still in the house. One of the reasons I'd been reading all week that Dan would lose against Ian is because he would not have her vote. When added to the likely bitterness that was going to taint Shane and Frank (and to a lesser extent Joe), it was assumed that would KO Dan for that scenario.
