June 25, 201214 yr PP92, I agree with all that you said, but then again, I don't think we can just bury our head in the sand and ignore what the radical element of the Muslim faith is doing either, particularly if we are worried that such element may be growing. I don't damn every Muslim because of the actions of the radical Muslims any more than I would damn every Catholic because of the actions of the Priests who did wrong. But exposing what the Priests did was necessary and good. It help curb (and hopefully stop) the abuse. By exposing what the radical Muslims do, hopefully it will help stop the growth of the radical elements and hopefully it will undermine the message of the leaders of the radical elements. I avoided this thread after it first got started because it is one the 'ugly' truths I mention in another thread. Of course, LN already had a good summary here that is very true and captures why we can not discount 'ugly truths'. Also, during a long ride back yesterday I caught an interview on Fox with the father of the victim of domestic Islamic terrorism and the father of a domestic Islamic radical convert. Here is video of the original long version interview with Huckabee: Losing Our Sons: Unlikely bond over tragic killing, part 1 The fathers of a murdered soldier and the father of the killer are now united in the message - domestic radical Islam teaching is a problem - a deadly problem. The comments of the soldiers father are good. What was different was to here the comments of the killer's father. He describes how imams in Nashville recruited and radicalized his son. That part was really interesting. The killer was ejected from Yemen - for linkages to terrorism. Yet the US government did nothing when he returned to the US. The press has buried this story. The government has failed to prosecute it for what it is - domestic terrorism. The same can be said for the Ft. Hood massacre. Many want to say we have not had cases of domestic Islamic terrorism since 9/11. But we have - here are two specific cases where they are most certainly just that. The concerning part is that for what ever reason these cases have been sweep under the proverbial rug.
