Neon Boudeaux ain't walking through that door Shaq.

Shaw hates Howard and takes any opportunity to blast him. I have no clue how they think this is a good idea unless they know they are trading Howard. Being a GM takes a lot of work and time to I'm not sure Shaq would be willing to put in. It's not just about picking out good players from bad players.

I agree.

Shaq as the GM means no Howard to the Lakers or does it mean Howard to the Lakers?

Unfortunately we'll never know since he isn't going to interview.

I agree with the guys on ESPN Countdown. Shaq should be an owner. He's got too much personality to be a GM. He needs to be seen and be the center of attention. Owner. Sitting next to Mark Cuban and MJ in owners meetings.

I had to think about that one for a minute.

A pro athlete that returned in 2000 to earn his degree from LSU. A pro athlete that earned his MBA online in 2005. A pro athlete that earned a doctoral degree in Human Resource Development in 2012. And a pro athlete who has stated that he plans to attend law school.

Also a pro athlete who has worked in police enforcement in LA and Miami.

I don't necessarily like the idea of hiring Shaq as a GM, but to say that he might not be willing to put in the time isn't fair...

A pro athlete who was more interested in making terrible movies and rap songs than addressing his fatal flaw, a fatal flaw that teams went out of their way to use against him. He could've smashed the career scoring mark and probably added a few extra titles if he could've been bothered to work on his abhorrent free-throw shooting in the off-season.

Shaq's aspirations are to be an owner according to Stephen A. Smith who is good friends with Shaq. According to Smith's opinion, with Shaq's off camera work that he is consumed with, he does not believe Shaq would sacrifice all of that to take a significant paycut to be an NBA GM.
