My wife started in the Real Estate business right out of Miami University 17 years ago this year. Yeah I know, why didn't she use her Finance and Business degree to go work for someone like Procter & Gamble or KAO Brands and make a very nice living. Selling property is something that she always wanted to do and I might say she is very good at what she does. She has always told me that someday a buyer will be purchasing their 2nd or 3rd house from her and I thought she was crazy.

 

I told her....No one like Realtors and it is going to be very hard to succeed in the business. Well, after the fallout a few years ago with the market she is currently doing very well for herself. Only the strong Realtors survive. So in other words, she must of done it the right way throughout the years to be still respected enough to trust her with someone's future. I agree with you there are many many great realtors and I'm sure your wife is one of them. Congrats Tbird!

It's my experience that most realtors are not unethical. It's just that many of them simply aren't very professional and are not very smart.
